You have probably heard of the word fashion but what it actually is? It is the adaptation of latest styles related to clothing, jewelry, shoes and anything that can be worn or be used by the individuals. What's even more interesting is the fact that it is not restricted to one's clothing or shoes only but hairstyles as well. Yes! You have probably heard it right. It does include the modern and day-to-day hairstyles with the advancements and designs as per the era or circumstances.

When it comes to girls and boys, most of the times, it is considered that girls are "the most fashionable" as compared to the boys. But is that actually true? Maybe or maybe not. It depends on the environment. Majority of the people are of the believe that fashion should be updated with every passing day and people should adapt to the changing fashion to keep a pace with the society. Otherwise, people are considered as outdated in terms of fashion.

Fashion is ever-changing. No fashion has stayed forever. But there comes times when a certain style goes obsolete, and then after certain time lapse comes back. Since the inception of time, fashion has always existed. Because girls mostly keep themselves updated with the modern day styles, they are considered most fashionable. Let's talk about fashion as was in decades from early 1900's to the 2000's.

Early 1900's to 10's women fashion included tailored blouses and skirts. It was famous to wear this style while riding their bikes. Corsets were, at those days, worn underneath the skirts and blouses. Pigeon breast styled tops were worn those days as well. Makeup was more of DIY at that times like using a lemon to pale your skin etc.

Early 1910's to 20's women fashion changed greatly. Small waists, puffy chests and skirts were worn at those times. Hats and glasses were very common at those times. As far as the women makeup is concerned, lip-stains, eye shadow pastes and face powders were very in.

Early 1920's to 30's fashion included wearing clothes having various geometrical shapes on them and V-shaped necklines were very popular those times. 1920's era was also known as "the flapper era". Makeup techniques changed hugely. Cupid bow lip styles, kohl-rimmed eyes and very bright cheeks (using very light bright red blush) was very popular.

1930's to 40's fashion had the fashion styles completely changed as were in the 1920's. Women silhouettes moved from the boyish figures to feminine curves and waistlines were returned to natural line. Hemlines were also dropped. Fashion that got popular those days were plucked out brows overdrawn by a red pencil, cupid bow lip styles were replaced with thin horizontal lines making the upper lips enlarged and fuller.

1940's to 50's fashion included floral printed clothes with polka dot style very common and popular. Clothes those days were quite flowy and had sloping shoulder styles. Makeup became acceptable and red lipstick became the star of that decade.

1950's to 60's fashion
casual sportswear increased in the women's wardrobes and the white T-shirts became very popular. The casual skirts were very narrow or full. The pants became narrow and were worn ankle length. Makeup changed from overdrawn brows to full arch brows, dewy eye looks with mascara and a natural foundation. Lips were outlined with pencil and were then filled.

1960's to 70's fashion changed completely. The clothes were brightly colored and were very printed. Halter tops, hot pants and many other styles became very popular amongst the women. Makeup did change too. Black eye-shadow became very popular at those times. Heavy fake lashes and pastel pink stained lips were popular at that time.

1970's to 80's fashion included sequins, oversized blazers with shoulder pads, corset belts and bodysuits. Copper tones, nude glossy lips and bronzed sun-kissed skin makeup was in at that times.

1980's to 90's fashion changed extremely. It changed to wearing leather jackets, high waisted skirts and some laces. Layers of necklaces and bracelets were also worn at that times. Headbands, slip gowns and plaid flannels dominated the fashion at those times. As far as makeup is concerned, heavy foundations, bold blushes, bushy brows and two-toned eyeshadows became popular amongst the women.

1990's to 2000's fashion changed at a great scale. High waisted jeans with tucked in T-shirts, oversized sweaters and black opaque tights worn under dresses dominated every trend that had come earlier till that time. Floral dresses, turtlenecks became popular again inspired from the fashion trends of the earlier times. Makeup changed from bold blush to barely-there blush, brick lips, frosty blue eyeshadows and much more.

From these facts, it can be easily concluded that the fashion trends were always changing throughout the history and will keep on changing because of innovations and new creativities in designs which are brought about each and every single day.
